Product Review- CocoTherapy Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
I have always had some problems with itchy skin. I have also always had a problem with wanting extra fatty treats (what kind of a dog are you, if you do not want any of that?). This is why, whenever I hear about products that low in fat and yet aid with skin problems and allergies, I try them out. I have already tried a variety of salmon treats, but recently I was attracted to the CocoTherapy Organic Virgin Coconut Oil.
The humans wrote an article stating that not only can dogs eat coconut, but that coconut oil was good for their skin. Indeed, CocoTherapy Organic Virgin Coconut Oil proves that to be true.
This oil helps with allergies to insect bites and grains. You can tell your dog is allergic to something if you see the symptoms of them continuously licking their paws and skin.
I have only tried this oil for a couple of weeks now. I can say that is yummy and that it seems to work well. I used to regularly take Benadryl and do not have to do so anymore. This keeps my coat clear and shiny, as well as healthy looking. Also, most of the allergies on my ears and feet are getting better.
Some reviewers of Coco Therapy have said that you can notice results in less than a month. It is also said to improve a dog’s immune system.
This oil can be added to your dog’s food (just like a squirt of salmon oil). A tiny bit rubbed between your palms and a quick back rub will leave your dog with a soft shiny coat that smells deliciously of coconut. I think the yummy taste makes it easy to eat!
If you are having allergic reactions or seasonal rashes, I would for sure give this product a try and see how it works for you. I know it is a little expensive, but hey, if it works, I would say it’s well worth it! It can get rid of nasty scabs and such. Also, you really have to use such little amounts that I think a little bit can go a long way.
I am still taking 1/2 a salmon treat because of my pug shedding problem (if you have come across a pug, ever, you will know that pugs shed all the time!) but I have also added this coconut oil to my diet. I am a small pug so really I do not even take their recommended 1 teaspoon everyday. Instead, my mom puts a tiny amount in her hand to melt it and them lets me lick it off of her hand! That is the best way to eat your food anyway- in a manner that helps you bond with your humans!:)
Are you using any other products for skin irritation or allergies? If so, let me know what they are below so that I can try them as well!
